I've seen cars with 160k miles that look cleaner than this. The front end has some missing pieces, rust on the quarter panel, interior is dirty and some of the upholstery is torn/frayed. It looks like the one owner didn't care too much about this car, so who knows what sort of issues could be waiting to rear their head.

No reserve? They probably gave nothing for it on trade and the starting bid was high enough to cover their costs in it.

I'm digging that color.

Its old and slow, stripped down base model that's not desirable as a collector and only halfway decent as a driver in maybe fair condition.

It's still a classic Benz that will likely last another 20 years given the low mileage.

"Classic" might be a stretch for an old w201 with a 130hp four banger. And just because it has low miles doesn't mean the seals, hoses, mounts, suspension, and wiring is rotted to hell.

I'd be happy to drive it but I'd thinking $1200 and no more than $1500.

Exactly. Engines are not like records or comics. Low use =/= better condition. A record will basically wear out to nothing after a few thousand or so plays, while an engine can be maintained/rebuilt and go on forever, provided there's fuel for it.

Only 70k miles on the clock. 270k on the car. Other than that, it's about what they're worth.
